Everyone here knows how big I am on continuing education.
But what’s the biggest hurdle, or obstacle, that people run into when it comes to continuing ed?
And trust me guys, I get it.
When you physically attend a seminar, expect to shell out around $1,000 by the time you factor in registration, travel, lodging, food, and other miscellaneous expenses. In fact, Bill and I are attending a seminar in September that will easily be closer to $2,000!
That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t attend seminars, though – quite the contrary. Continuing education is what separates the average trainers and coaches in our industry from the best.
However, it never hurts when you can learn on the cheap – and that’s why I’m quickly becoming a big fan of webinars.
My friend Rick Kaselj from Vancouver (he’s hosting my seminar up there in December), just released a new product that I think many of you will be interested in. It’s called Muscle Imbalances Revealed (MIR), and it’s a webinar course that examines the lower extremity, dysfunctions that you’ll see, and how a variety of fitness professionals train the lower extremity to prevent injury and improve performance.
Muscle Imbalances Revealed
So this webinar series is great for a couple of reasons (aka the three C’s of webinars*):
Remember that $1,000 you would spend to attend a seminar? Not here! The entire webinar series is only $97 through Friday ($127 if you order the physical DVD’s and have them shipped to your house.)
Let’s be honest – travel can be, well, frustrating. With this series you can learn from the comfort of your own home. No travel, no headaches, nada.
– Continuing Education
If you’re a personal trainer or strength coach, you have to get continuing education units/credits every year. Rick has arranged for continuing ed credits for all of the following agencies:
NSCA, ACE, NASM, CanFitPro, BCRPA, CKA, NHPC
Rick has amassed a great group of presenters including myself, Bill Hartman, Eric Beard, and several others. I was excited to contribute to the project myself, and I think you’ll learn some great new material.
